Verruca Laser Treatment

Whats Involved?

As with all skin conditions your clinician will undertake a full assessment to confirm the nature of the lesions present. If laser treatment is selected then treatment involves the painless removal of the "dead skin" covering the lesion. Depending on the type and intensity of the laser treatment a local anaesthetic may be used to numb the area before treatment.

How Successful is the treatment?

Potentially a 40w Nd YAG laser may be effective with one but in most cases three or four treatments may be necessary depending on the number, site and size of the lesions. There are currently no treatments offering a 100% cure rate for verrucae and you should discuss the various treatment options with your clinician.
